Ohio State University Student Academic Services Building

The scope of this project for Ohio State University included the installation of the HVAC system for an eight story building with a gross floor area of 128,000 square feet – including the basement and penthouse.

GTC also installed a heating hot water pump package with a heat exchanger pump system that converts the high pressure steam from the campus loop to the heating hot water for the building HVAC system.

A LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver Certified project, the building utilizes the following Campus loop systems from the OSU chiller plant:

  • Chilled Water supply/return

  • High Pressure Steam Supply

  • High Pressure Steam Condensate Return Systems.

Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, LEED certification provides a rating system for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings and neighborhoods. The criteria involved allows for a public review for approval by nearly 20,000 organizations who belong to the U.S.G.B.C.

GTC takes pride in providing a quality project, on time, and within budget, without losing any LEED points during construction.
